Dondakayi Nuvvulu





2 cups Dondakayi (Tindora)

2 tbsp nuvvulu (sesame)

1 dry chilli pepper

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

salt, to taste


Chop dondakayi vertically (or as discs) and add to a pan on medium heat with oil in it. Add salt and cook all the way through. Separately, dry roast, sesame and the dry chilli pepper. When the sesame seeds are golden brown remove from stove, let it cool and pound to a coarse powder. Once the dondakayi is cooked through, add the sesame powder, mix in and add coriander leaves and enjoy with rice.
